Death Pact

Jessica’s a fabulist
I tossed a carrot on the decking
He eats the bread like a sandwich
with no filling
Breakfast is for winners, she said
If it jars you, then good
Brooms are the most sombre of the cleaning tool family
Antonella is a fabulist
How often do you speak to yours?

Christening Dress

A new thing like a mirror or nothing
maybe blue maybe white
maybe grey like an ocean dying
maybe the voice of the eunuch astrologer
maybe baby blue micro-check baby
